Tissue distributors

Tissue distributor in Shinjuku

Tissue distributors are usually young part-time workers who stand at busy places in Tokyo and other Japanese cities and distribute free packages of tissues. In Tokyo, for example, you will find many distributors around Shibuya and Shinjuku Stations.

The purpose of distributing these tissues packs for free is advertisement. Ads are printed onto each package, typically for businesses. The tissues are useful to pedestrians since they can be used on public toilets where toilet paper is not always supplied.
