Kamikochi/Okuhida 1 day (Matsumoto - Toyama)

Just wondering how practical it is planning a one day straight run in late April from Matsumoto to Toyama, stopping by Kamikochi to do its loop and then Okuhida Onsen's Yakedake for a dip of at least a few hours.
The thing I'm worried about most is the whole Kamikochi - Yakedake bus, and then Yakedake - Takayama bus, can't find the schedules for those so no idea if it's even doable at all. Thanks for any help.

Hi, I think you can make one day trip from Matsumoto to Toyama(Toyama-City,right?). But it would be bit busy. Regarding Onsen(hotspring),do you think of Okuhida Garden Hotel Yakedake ? http://www.okuhida-gh.com/en/If so,you need to chage the bus at Hirayu-Onsen from Kamikochi, and it seems to be bit far from the nearest bus stop. Pick-up service by the hotel is only for overnight guest. Then I recommend Hiaryu-no-Mori instead, very close to Hirayu bus terminal. http://www.hirayunomori.co.jp/contents/english/index.htmlhttp://www.nouhibus.co.jp/english/kamikochi.htmlhttp://www.nouhibus.co.jp/english/hirayu_shinhotaka.htmlbrief plan for example: Matsumoto 8:00 (train and bus) Kamikochi 9:45 Kamikochi 13:00 (Nohi bus) Hirayu 13:25 Hirayu 15:30 (Nohi bus) Takayama 16:30 Takayama 17:15(Wide-View Hida,JR Express train) Toyama 19:30 other options: Skip onsen soaking and have time to stroll around Takayama instead. Or stay at Hirayu-Onsen/Okuhida Garden Hotel/other onsen Ryokan around Okuhida area for a night. Hope it helps.
