Ashikaga Flower Park 4/13 - 4/18 2015/4/5 16:30
Hi everyone,

Ashikaga Flower Park is currently having Spring Festival until 12 Apr. The Wisteria festival starts on 18 Apr.
What about the period in between? Unfortunately for me, I will be in Tokyo during that middle period and have to leave by 16 Apr. Am I able to catch some Wisteria starting to bloom if I go on 15 Apr?
The site doesn't have an email address or anywhere that I could submit a question :(

Thank you!

Unfortunately, Wisteria had just started blooming. But there are various kind of flowers in Ashikaga Flower Park all the time. You will enjoy them, if you love flowers not only the wisteria.

Although this year weather has been warmer and flowers bloom a bit earlier it is still doubtful whether mid April is good for wisteria in Ashikaga Flower Park. In average year late April to mid May is the season with early May the best time for it. A few years back we were there April 25 and there was not much to see.

The admission fee to a certain extend reflects the flowering situation. This year the peak period is from April 18 to May 17.

The Ashikaga tourism association may help with on-the-spot information and they have an online email webpage but in Japanese only.
