2.5 days in Atami

I am spending 2 .5 days in Atami before a conference in Yokohama. I have browsed through guides and such. Would anyone like to suggest the best few things to do and what and where to eat in that short stay.

Ito makes a nice day trip from Atami - specifically if you go to the Jogasaki Coast & Mt Omuro.

In Atami, the Kiunkaku is well worth visiting. Also, you should try to visit a few of the city's onsen. It's onsen are very famous and many offer great views of the sea.
If you like castles, Odawara is nearby. Atami Castle is just an entertainment complex. It has no real history (there was never a castle there), and it's quite expensive to enter.

If you have as long as 2.5 days there, I would recommend a visit to Shimoda and Jogasaki Coast as well :)
