Michinoeki wireless LAN

Hi all!

I'm travelling by car round western Japan and planning on using the michinoeki. I have seen in the MLIT website that some michinoeki have wireless LAN.

Does anyone know if its free and what the connection is generally like? Also, is it available in the carpark or only inside the buildings?

Free Wi-Fi area is inside the rest houses mainly but not all.
