Rail Pass for Tokyo to Kyoto, Hiroshima

Hello,

My finance and I will be going to Japan in late May and am looking for some advice. We arrive on Sat into Narita and will be staying in Hotel Century Southern Tower in Shinjuku. We are then going to Kyoto for several days and then back to Toyko for another few days. All in all we will be staying 8 nights.

We would like to take a trip to Hiroshima from Kyoto if time/rail pass allows. Can anyone provide some advice on what pass to get?

Get the seven day pass. If you N'Ex to Tokyo on the first day, activate the pass when leaving Tokyo. Tokyo-Kyoto-Tokyo-Narita is about the same price as singles. The add-on trip to Hiroshima will effectively be free (about Y20,000 round trip from Kyoto)
