Yes, check hyperdia. The trains run constantly so there is no need to book ahead.

Maybe try "Shin-Osaka"?
(Shinkansen stations sometimes have different names from "normal" stations.)

Trains run very frequently from Osaka-Tokyo. I usually don't even buy it in advance but on the day itself about 20-30 minutes before boarding time.

I did a dummy run on Hyperdia:
Take time: 150 Minutes Transfer: 0 Times Distance: 552.6 km Total:\ 14,450 (TicketFare:\ 8,750 Seat Fee:\ 5,700)
09:03 begin SHIN-OSAKA SHINKANSEN NOZOMI 4 Departure track No.26 11:33 end TOKYO [ Arrival track No.18 ]
Note that you have a choice of 2 arrival stations in Tokyo: Tokyo station and Shinagawa station. the later is easier to navigate (smaller station);
Both stations are on the JR Yamanote loop line, a line that you may have to use depending on the location of your hotel. In that case your train ticket should include the trip on the Yamanote..to the station close to your hotel...

Osaka versus Shin-osaka is a trap for some people - they are different stations (about 4 km apart). There are a lot of other examples around the country (such as Shin-Aomori, Shin-kobe or Shin-Yokohama).
The point is, the shinkansen between Shin-Osaka nad Tokyo are frequent, and the trains from Osaka to Shin-Osaka are also very frequent (3-4 minutes apart).
