10 day camping trip in Japan Alps

I have got about a 10-14 day margin for when my student visa expires and have to leave Japan :( I'm on a tight budget so I thought I would go camping!! In August btw.
I'm thinking the Japan Alps/ central Honshu. I'd love to go further out, such as Hokkaido but money... :/
Somewhere that I can set up tent for 10 or so days, and just chill (essential after finals haha). Anyone know of good campsites, that have hiking trails, swimming lakes, not too crowded (and commercialized) etc. I'd love somewhere that has the real old school camping feel :p
I don't have a car also...
