Translation driver’s licence. How long valid?

I'm a citizen of one of those countries who cannot drive with an international driver's licence (Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium...) but need a japanese translation of their licence.
I've had my licence translated at a previous trip a few years ago. Should I apply for a new translation or is my older translation still valid?

The translation is still valid! You only have to make a new translation if you have a new driver license.
