Only high rates in Kurokawa?

Hi, I will visit Japan next March 2016 and ILd like to stay one full day in Kurokawa Onsen.
But please, I need to know if:
1.- there are any minshuku in or nearby Kurokawa Onsen with cheaper rates than the ones which appear on the ryokan association page?
ILd prefer to overnight in or near to the town center.
2.- just one day would be enough to see and enjoy the area in Kurokawa?
3.- there is frecuent bus service to Aso station?
