I was wondering if there was an Osaka equivalent to a Passmo or Suica card used for subway travel. I had a Passmo card in Tokyo and It made my life much easier. I prefer to travel by subway so any help about this is appreciated.

Osaka has the Icoca card which is valid on most transportation in the Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe area. Prominent exceptions are Kyoto buses and the Keifuku/Randen trains in Kyoto. Alternatively, there is the Surutto Kansai Card, which is a non-recharchable prepaid card valid on most trains and buses except JR. Here are more details (scroll towards the lower part of the page): http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4006.html

Thanks for your help, much appreciated :) Yes I have been doing some research into the Icoca card and it seems the best way to go.
