Child Fares on Japanese Ferries

I was wondering if children (Under 12yrs) pay 50% of the adult fare on ferries in Japan as they do on the rail network.
Have looked at a few of the fares on different ferries/routes and there doesn't seem to be any indication of a child fare.

Generally speaking, yes, the same fare principle applies also to ferries: 50% off for children aged 6-12.
