travel from Fukuoka to Sekigahama

I looked at a map and thought the best route was using the Shinkansen from Fukuoka to Shin Iwakuni catching a bus from Shin Iwakuni to the Iwakuni station and then catching a cab to Sekigahama. Is there a shorter route from Shin Iwakuni to Sekigahama? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Where is Sekigahama? The district of Waki Town near Iwakuni? I am going to assume so.

The easiest way would be to take the shinkansen to Shin-Iwakuni Station and a taxi directly to Sekigahama. Sekigahama is equally far from Shin-Iwakuni as it is from Iwakuni Station.

Yes, Sekigahama is in the Waki town.
