How is the weather like in Tokyo now? 2011/10/19 01:17
Is it necessary to wear thick jackets or clothing?

I suppose it depends on how cold you get. I wore a thin sports top this morning, as it was down to about 15 degrees.
Last Sunday it was 29.7 degrees in Tokyo, so it's variable right now.

If you have a look here, you will get some idea:

Thick clothing is not yet appropriate 2011/10/20 11:22
ALAaron,

I don't think "thick" clothing is necessary. Seasonally, it's not yet appropriate anyway.

It's like, when it's sunny you'd want to wear short sleaves, and on cloudy days you want to wear something warmer. Cloudy days even affect the night time temprature as well as the morning after.

Light jackets will do. Also, light scarves are very handy when trying to adjust to various tempratures.

Have a nice trip!
