osaka unlimited pass, etc 2011/10/24 15:53
Hi!

I'm interested in getting the osaka unlimited pass while while in osaka. I just read that it's for tourists in Japan.

I'm not a japanese citizen but I have a college student visa valid for 15 months. Am I eligible for this pass and other passes that say they're for tourists only?

Thanks! :)

There is no restriction on who can use the pass:

Hi there,

Is the pass valid for bus also?

I saw the brochures at JNTO, it seemed attractive with those admission coupons (osaka castle, umeda sky park, cosmo, onsen, tsutenkaku) except for boat rides that will be closed during the time i will reach Osaka.

cheers!

One more question, this pass is not valid for travel to Mino right? http://www.pia-kansai.ne.jp/osp/en/03_kukan.php

And I'm also not allowed to get the Surutto Kansai Pass right? Since I have a college student visa for 15 months?

Thanks!

Is the Santa Maria Day cruise available everyday? Based on the website above, it's not on November? I really can't understand what's said above. Anyone who knows?

Thanks! :)

Anyone knows of a similar pass for Kobe? All I can find is the Coupon thing with discounts.

Thanks!

Not unless you get the Hankyu version for 2300 yen. Unfortunately this version is not explained on the English version.

That's right. You can't use it. Unless you travel together with a short term tourist.

Yes.

Yes:

Thanks for the reply Uji! :)

Is there a 2 day Hankyu Version of this pass? And is this the same thing as the Osaka Unlimited Pass? Like same attractions for free? and also includes unlimited rides on all bus, subway and trains (except JR) ?

Yes:

I'm allowed to get this right? And how much does this cost? I used Google Translate on the page, but I can't get that much info from the translated page. :(

And about the list of attractions on that page with the corresponding prices, I only get to choose 650 yen worth of attractions right? And the prices there are what should be deducted from my 650 yen coupon?

Arigatougozaimasu! :D

Is there a 2 day Hankyu Version of this pass?

Yes, everything seems to be the same, except that it also adds use of Hankyu trains (with which you can reach Mino Park).

As for the Kobe ticket, yes, it can be used by anybody.

The cost is 900 yen for just Kobe, although there are also versions that include access from Osaka or Kyoto. You can use all trains and subways in central Kobe (except JR) and get 650 yen worth of discounts at designated sights. So, it is not as good as the Osaka Unlimited Pass, in that respect.

Re: osaka unlimited pass, etc 2011/10/25 13:49
Do you know how much a 2 day Hankyu Osaka ticket is? Or is there only a 1 day version?

So 650 worth of just discounts? So it's not like I have 650 yen worth of coupons that I could use up in a few sites? Do I have to pay the fee and just deduct a discount from the coupon?

Thanks so much! :D

Do you know how much a 2 day Hankyu Osaka ticket is?

It only exists for the 1 day version. Note also that the Hankyu version is only available for sale at a limited number of stations. Basically only major Hankyu stations, including Hankyu Umeda Station.

So 650 worth of just discounts? So it's not like I have 650 yen worth of coupons that I could use up in a few sites?

It seems to be in the form of coupons that can be used instead of money at one or multiple of the designated sights for the entire or partial admission fee.

Re: osaka unlimited pass, etc 2011/10/25 18:34
Hmmm.. based on this, I think the Kobe Pass is so not worth it if I'm just visiting a few sites. Because a single entrance fee at one of the houses in Kitano is already 500 yen.

My previous plan was 1.5 days in Osaka and then 1.5 days in Kobe, but now, I'll just make it 2 days Osaka and I day Kobe. The Osaka Unlimited is such a good deal! :D

Thanks for all the help Uji. :)
