Hi all,
I had planned to travel to Fukuoka on the 10th and 11th of February in 2012. I'm just wondering whether the Yatai stalls and most shopping areas operate as usual on these days?

Yes, they are. And probably particularly crowded, as well.

Japanese people don't celebrate the National Foundation Day. So, when you came to Japan, you see no festival. Yatais usually open at evening in Nakasu which is near Tenjin. You should go to Tenjin, which is the best shopping area.
