I stayed at Guestouse KOMA in Osaka for 3 nights last winter. It was a decent place to stay. I'm guessing it would have been more fun if there were some more people there. Two out of 3 nights I was like on of the only guests. But since Osaka isn't a very touristic place it may be normal during the off-season.
Apart from it being a bit boring it was a very good place to stay. Cheap, clean, located 2 minutes away from a smaller subway station and 10 minutes walking distance from the Namba Station. Another 10 minutes walking and you're at dotombori ;)
