Miyama in December 2011/12/19 19:53
Hi! There's not much info about Miyama on the web. I was wondering if there will be snow there during the second half of December? Thanks!

I went there once around New Years and it did snow while I was there, but the snow did not stick on the ground. It melted.

Miyama is really nice though. There is a museum and some shrines and temples around the outside in the forested area. A bit of snow was on the ground at the shrine actually.

I don't know if there will be snow when you visit though. The winter season arrived late this year but it is quite cold now... I guess checking the weather as suggested above is the best way, although Miyama itself may have different weather from Nantan, the city in which it is located.
