Hakone Trip 2012/2/22 02:23
Dear all,i will be travelling to Hakone at the end of Mar.However,i'm confused with Hakone and i sincerely seek your assistance on my plan.

I plan to leave from Tokyo around 10am and take SHINKANSEN KODAMA / HIKARI to Odawara Station. Get myself a 2-day Hakone Free Pass.
Then,i start the recommended round course and back to hotel before dinner and enjoy hot spring in the hotel.
The next day, i will travel to Gotemba Outlet Mall and back to Tokyo before evening.
My question is whether i can make it on time and is there any spot is more worthwhile to visit?
Thank you.

Two days is definitely enough. What is worthwhile and not depends on personal interest. Here are some suggestions for Hakone together with user ratings:

Hello,

I think your plan will be OK. Bus services are available from Gotenba Outlets to Tokyo or Shinjuku.

Hakone has a lot of sightseeing spots. Among them, I recommend Fujiya Hotel located near Miyanoshita station. It has been loved by some famous people from all over the world. It also has a long history, and a distinct atmosphere. So, it is worth visiting there.
If you do so, I want you to stop by Naraya Café located diagonally to the front of Miyanoshita station. You can enjoy a footbath and the magnificent views from this café while drinking tea.
In addition, Sengokuhara area is the best place to go around museums if you are interested in art. There are a lot of museums such as Venetian Glass Museum, The Museum of The Little Prince in Hakone, Pola Museum of Art and Hakone Meissen Garden Museum.

The site will offer helpful information to you.

Does anyone know of a reliable 'weather forecast' website for Hakone & Mt Fuji area ?
I intend to visit Hakone mostly to see Mt Fuji, so any website that publishes a forecast on the weather around Hakone & Mt Fuji area would be much appreciated.

(Understand Kawaguchi-ko is a better spot to view Mt Fuji, but I have already been there).

Thanks in advance.
