Recommendation on dorminatory

I had seen that dorm is the cheapest for budget accomodationn. As this is my first time visiting japan, may i ask if you could assist me in recommending dorm in osaka, tokyo,kobe,kyoto,nagoya? Thank you.

Gojo Guesthouse in Kyoto is nice. We had a private room, not a dormitory, but they are all affordable. It's a good quality place.

You do not need to use a dorm for Osaka, Chuo Gruop have single rooms for less than 2,000 Yen a night for Japanese style room, a little more for a western style at their Mikado location:
