Bus Schedule to Takachiho from Nobeoka

Going to visit Takachiho by bus from Nobeoka. Does anyone have the bus schedule for March and how much would it cost.

Is the 1000 yen Visit Miyazaki Bus Card for 1 day bus ride available in March.

Can't recall when exactly you are going during March, but do prepare for the cold weather. We still encountered snow in Takachiho Gorge and Mt. Aso area during mid March in 2010. The following is some weather data for Takachiho last year during March and do take note that temperature went below zero for quite a no. of days.

When you go to Takachiho, try also to include a visit to the atmospheric Amano Yasugawara cave which we found very interesting. I am not sure about the infrequent public transport to the place but it should not be a long taxi ride from Takachiho-jinja to Amano Iwato-jinja following by a 10 min walk down to the cave area.

Thanks for cautioning us the cold weather. We will be there on the 3rd week of March. Hope it is warmer and we experience Sakura.

Hope we will be as lucky as you in ASO Farmland. The place looks so lovely and what a great experience it would be if it snows whilst we are there.

Snow maybe nice to you but not for us while we were there! Because it snowed we had to delay our departure from Aso Farmland for a couple of hours and arrived after dark in Miyazaki, not very desirable for a self-drive road trip.

Don't know whether you have read my other posts on Aso Farmland recently. There is a newly added petting zoo which looks like fun.
