I'll be in Japan in APril 2012.
I am planning to buy a Japan Rail Pass.
I need to travel from Nagasaki to Tokyo. I would like to know if I can use the Rail Pass for a Sleeper train for this journey.
Thanks,
J.

There are no sleeper trains between Nagasaki and Tokyo anymore! The closest city from where you could catch a sleeper train is Okayama, a 5 hour train journey from Nagasaki by daytime trains: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2356.htmlThe Japan Rail Pass fully covers the nobi nobi compartments on the Sunrise Seto/Izumo trains from Okayama to Tokyo, however, these compartments are popular and often sell out in advance. Other compartments on the train require a supplement fee of around 9500 yen per person when used by pass holders.
