Temple Lodging (Shukubu) in Kyoto 2012/3/25 08:26
Hi,
I will be in Kyoto in April and I would like very much to stay in a shukubu temple in Kyoto or Nara and participate in the morning meditation.

I would appreciate suggestions regarding a temple with a nice atmosphere and perhaps one in which I will be able to communicate in English.
Thanks!

Try Daishin in. Well worth this Zen temple for meditation, if you are up to it.You almost don't have to go to Ryoanji as their rock garden is so beautiful.

Could you get to Mt Koya? The temple lodging is amazing, as is the whole Koyasan experience

Hi fmj, nice to see you here again. I hope your ankle has fully recovered and you are all set for your April trip to see cherry blossom.

If I remember correctly you were asking about the Osaka Mint. Here is this year up-date information about its cherry blossom corridor which is scheduled to open Apr 17 to 23.

Are there any restrictions on couples staying together?
