What do you mean by 4 flexible days within 1 month in the JR East Pass?
Can I use the 4 days separately(different days) or contiunally.(starts on 3rd may and end at 6th may).

It means that you can use the pass on four days of your choice within a one month period. They can be continuous or not. Any combination within a month is possible.
The one month period begins on the day the pass is issued. You do not have to select the dates beforehand.
