ESIM Or SIM card 2024/3/29 07:24
We will be staying in Japan for 35 days and want to buy E/SIM Card for data use only. I hope you can share your experience:

1) Any recommendations on buying ESIM / SIM from Amazon in Canada, I looked at the customersf review and they donft seem very promising;

2) is there any other reliable providers that we can buy either SIM or ESIM on line?;

3) if we buy it in NRT after we arrived, would it be fairly expensive?

Thank you for your help.

You can refer to the below comparison tables. All providers are reliable from our experience and other travelers.

eSIM:

SIM:

Since you have 35 days, you can just get two SIM or eSIM.

I used Nomad eSIM in Japan last year, and eSIM is a great option. Shop around to see what has the best deal currently. It's relatively easy to set up on your smart phone.

I always leave my eSIM permanently set to my home country number (roaming option/backup) and use the physical SIM card slot during my overseas/Japan travels.
