Kawadoko with kaiseki in Kibune for 1 person? 2024/5/2 12:05
Hi,
Apologies for this post. Hope I have done my research. Will be in Kyoto from the 19th-22nd of May. Planning to visit Kibune either on the 21st (Tuesday) or 22nd (Wednesday) depending on weather. Thinking of arriving at Kibune at 9am to hopefully be in front of the line for nagashi somen @ Hirobun which opens at 11am. Hoping to have a kawodoko kaiseki meal afterwards at any restaurant along the river. I am struggling to find one online that offers kaiseki for a single person. I can book for two as a single person (willing to spend more and suppose I can eat all of it) but unsure if it is okay. Maybe if I somehow contact them beforehand or tell them on the day that the other person had a sudden change of plans, it could be okay???
And can I fit in nagashi somen + kaiseki meal within 2-4 hours from around 11:30am?
Apologies and thank you!

If it is not kaiseki (if it is soba), you can eat by yourself.

In addition, there is an instagram of Hirobun, so if you send a message, it may be answered.

You might also be able to check it out on instagram at the Kyoto City Tourism Association.
