July 19, 2015 - Food in Japan
For most people who have travelled Japan, they know that the food can be amazing if you know where to look. As I used to live in Japan, I've also developed a taste for many of the local specialties with my only dislikes being natto, daikon and uni. In this post, I'll show you some of the meals I have had. As mentioned above, these photos are just to give some people a taste (pun intended) of what type of foods are available in Japan. There are also many other nice meals I had over the 5 weeks I as in Japan but I did not take the photos of all.
It should be noted that often you might eat a Family Mart lunch (sandwich and drink) as you often get so much food in your meals.
When you stay at large hotels the food tends to be similar as it's mainly about price. However - if you stay in smaller local hotels the food can also be quite local. Probably the best seafood I had was in Itoigawa and Wajima in Noto Hanto.
For my next and last post - I'll include some photos of different accommodation I stayed in. As mentioned, it will be of interest to some and not for others which is all good.
