The following is a suggested itinerary for first time travelers to Japan who spend 5 days, 4 nights in the Kanto Region around Tokyo.

Day 1 - Arrive at Narita Airport
Arrive at Narita Airport, and spend the remaining day in Tokyo.
Day 2-3 - Tokyo
Spend two full days in Tokyo. Consider our suggested Tokyo itineraries.
Day 4 - Nikko Daytrip
Purchase a Nikko Pass and use it to take a daytrip to Nikko, two hours north of Tokyo.
Day 5 - Depart from Narita Airport
Depart Japan from Narita Airport.
