Taking luggage on the Yakushima Ferry

Hi guys!
Ifll soon be going to Yakushima with a few friends for about a week. Wefll be renting a car after arriving on the island and will be taking the 4 hour long Yaku 2 Car Ferry option. Most of us have 1 suitcase and a small backpack so ifm just wondering if anyone knows if itfs easy for us to get our big suitcases on the ferry and store them somewhere or anything like that during the ferry ride?
