November 29, 2011 - Matsue-jo

Made a visit to Matsue to go see the castle there. When I arrived it was a cold, windy & rainy day. I thought, well...it's been a busy week, I will just relax today and hopefully the weather would be better tomorrow. NOPE! If anything the weather was worse. Thought about not going, but since I made the trip there....what the heck. Walked across the street to the main station where all the buses there too. But there was a 30 wait until the next bus heading where I needed to go. :( thought about a taxi, but it really wasn't too far away.(only a few miles) So decided to walk in the rain and enjoy views of the city even if it was raining. What the heck...I had an umbrella. Glad I did, it was worth the trip!

I will have to say I enjoyed this castle every much! will go back in nicer weather so I can get some better pictures

inside the castle it is still mostly original, loved it!

and inside is like a museum with old armor & swords and many other things from the history of the area

A nice city along the coast that I will have to go back to again. The train ride there was totally beautiful even with the bad weather. With nice weather I'm sure there would be more of the beautiful countryside to see. But for me, the highlite was the castle!
