Hello! I just moved in to Tokyo and I will stay here for a while because have working visa. My last point to be happy immigrant is Japanese sim card. I need to buy something with real phone number(voice function) and good Internet plan. I have found the IIJmio company and this is what I want: https://www.iijmio.jp/hdd/visitors/en/miofone.jspThe "Light start plan" sounds great. I can make a calls, 6 GB data is enough for start and they offer feature "carry over unused data to the next month" what is perfect for me! However I have big problem because in Japan everything is complicated. I cannot just order sim card.. I need to choose if I want Type D sim card or Type A sim card... So I have contacted the IIJmio support and of course they cannot help me because they don't know my device. My device is unlocked Huawei P30 Pro VOG-L29. Bought in europe directly from Huawei. Can you help me guys? Which type of sim card I need to order? Type D or Type A? Also I have discovered today this website: https://www.iijmio.jp/yodobashi/On the bottom there is list of shops: https://map.iijmio.jp/b/iijmio_s/If I good understand I can go to one of these shops to talk with real person and sign the contract there?

First you could inform difference between type A and D. Not everyone is willing to read the website, I do know well since I have had the same issue and did my own research.
Japan is using UTMS 850/900/1700/1900/2100 If your phone is working on this frequency you can us it. Simply check the model number of your phone on the internet.

Type A means it uses the au network, type D is Docomo.

If me or the IIJmio staff would know the difference between these types trust me I would no waste time to ask for help in the Internet but I have spent 3 days to find solution and no one from IIJmio or Huawei know the answer...
My device bands: 4G FDD LTE: Bands 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/12/17/18/19/20/26/28/32
4G TDD LTE: Bands 34/38/39/40
3G WCDMA: Bands 1/2/4/5/6/8/19
3G TDS: Bands 34/39
2G GSM: Bands 2/3/5/8(850/900/1800/1900 MHz)
So if I good understand my device should work with no problems with 3G/LTE in AU and Docomo network... So both types should working correct? Which one I should choose?
