How to get Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass

I understand that you need to order a voucher through snail mail that you then exchange for the JR Pass in Japan, but what about regional passes? Specifically the Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass.

I've read something about e-vouchers which makes it even more confusing. So do I need a physical voucher or can I receive it through email instead?
