Having a 14hrs layover... 2011/5/25 15:17
My Delta LAX-HND flight arrives at 0455, however, my NRT-HKG flight departs at 1850.
I kinda some what know my way around Tokyo, but my question is, if i taking a day trip but do not want to drag my checked luggage around, what would be the best option?

I understand there are baggage storage in either airport, but what would be the best way to do this? Once arrive, should I just leave it at HND then head out to the city, and by afternoon, head back to HND to pick it up THEN head to NRT?

I dont think they do transfer bags to NRT?

Use a station locker 2011/5/26 01:21
If you're not taking a Japanese-sized suitcase with you, it might fit in a station locker in Ueno or Tokyo Stations. You could take it with you from Haneda, put it in a locker at either Tokyo or Ueno, check out a couple of places in Tokyo, then return to Ueno or Tokyo to take the Keisei line (Ueno) or JR line (Tokyo) out to Narita.

Locker dimensions are at:

Otherwise, you could just explore the Narita & Sakura areas around Narita Airport, in which case you would take the shuttle bus to Narita Airport, check your luggage (or possibly check it in for the flight) and take the train into Narita or Sakura. Sakura has a good history museum.

Narita has a temple complex.

check luggage 2011/5/26 07:43
1. It is too early for downtown. Catch bus transfer luggage HND to NRT, check bags and collect boarding pass at Narita. Check hand luggage/carry on at airport locker.
