A few questions about shinkansen tickets 2011/12/13 21:58
I want to go from Tokyo to Osaka and I tried to buy a Puratto Kodama economy ticket from here http://www.jrtours.co.jp/e-pla/

Unfortunately you have to pay by credit card and I don't have one...

So how can I buy this ticket? Is it possible to buy it from the usual vending machines in JR stations? Or do I have to go to a counter?

If I do have to go to a counter, how I buy it? Do I fill in some application or just say all the info?

Technically speaking, the Puratto Kodama Plan is not a ticket, but a travel package. Therefore, it is not available through ticket machines and common JR ticket offices. It is only available through travel agents, such as JR Tokai Tours and other common agents such as JTB. JR Tokai Tours has outlets at Tokyo and Shinagawa Stations, where can buy the plan. You have to purchase it at least one day before travel day. Just look for "JR Tokai Tours".
