What should i do about a bus pass? 2011/12/17 20:35
i'll be in Tokyo for 2 weeks, then Osaka for 2 weeks. (from Dec22 to Jan22) should i buy a certain kind of pass i keep hearing about a suica pass and a JR pass, but i don't know which i should get. i'll be staying in Asakusa mostly, and i want to go to "Ginza, Shibuya, Akihabara, Roppongi, Ueno and others around there". Given that information are there any suggestions? or because of my short stay should i just pay each time?

Buses are not the recommended means to get around Tokyo and Osaka. I recommend to use the subways and trains.

Osaka has some good 1-day passes, such as the Osaka 1-day subway pass and the Osaka Unlimited Pass, but day passes in Tokyo tend to be inconvenient and/or overpriced. It is often best to use prepaid cards, such as Suica in the Tokyo area and Icoca in the Osaka area. That is especially true if you plan your days geographically wise.
