Bus from Kurokawa Onsen to Hitoyoshi Onsen?

We are staying one night at Kurokawa Onsen followed by two nights at Hitoyoshi Onsen. We need to know how to get to Hitoyoshi Onsen from Kurokawa Onsen. Thank you!

There is no direct bus from Kurokawa onsen to Hitoyoshi onsen.
You have to take Kyushu Oudan bus from Kurokawa onsen to JR Kumamoto station,and then you have to take the Nampu bus from JR Kumamoto station to Hitoyoshi IC or take JR train from JR Kumamoto to JR Hitoyoshi station.

Well, I do not recommend to take Nampu bus since Hitoyoshi IC bus stop is somewhat away from the city center (about 3 km). The bus is faster but the train is more scenic, in my opinion.

Actually, your only bus from Kurokawa onsen to Kumamoto is that leaves Kurokawa onsen at 10:35. The next bus is at 15:20 which will take you to Kumamoto station at 18:40. 10:35 bus will take you to Kumamoto station at 13:28. Then you can get a local train to Yatsushiro and then Hitoyoshi.
