Tohoku travel during 1st week of December 2015/7/23 20:42
We are travelling with a group of 5 senior. Hence other than going to onsen like nyuto onsen and maybe naruto onsen or ginzan onsen, what other place can we visit during the 5 days JR east pass? We are worry that other than onsen, any sighseeing might be taxing for senior due to the cold weather.

Will Kakunodate be taxing or hard to walk around during early December?

Appreciate some advice on this.

Thanks

A lot of Kakunodate's sights, such as the samurai district, are closed over winter, so there's probably no point visiting anyway.

How about the Geibikei gorge and Matsushima boat cruises?

You can go all the way up to Aomori on the JR East pass.
