Mt Fuji climb trail1 down trail2

Is it possible to climb Mt Fuji from one trail and come down in another?
I needed to know if this was possible as my plan was to climb Mt.Fuji go up Fujinomiya route and come down yashoda trail(fuji subaru line). Can I join the other trail at the summit / crater? Needed info asap.

Sure, no problem. Just be aware that it can be quite a long journey back if you need to return to the original trailhead, so going up one trail and down another is best if you then continue on from the mountain.

Yup. It's the Yoshida trail that you'll be descending btw. Make note that you go down the correct descending trail as in most cases there are separate up and down trails.
