advice on itinerary

I need advice is my itinerary plan logic and smooth and can save most travel time. Do I need to buy JRpass?

11/12- arrive heneda in the evening, overnight near airport hotel
12/12-- Nagoya (overnight 1 night)
13/12 --- Takayama (overnight)
14/12--- day trip to shiragawa-go (back to Takayama overnight)
15/12--- Hakone (overnight 1 night)
16/12 --- Tokyo
17/12 --- Tokyo/Yokohama
18/12 --- Disneyland
19/12 --- go home

It's pretty good, but it's time consuming to get to Hakone from Takayama. Moving it around to be like this would be smoother and take less travel time:

The plan is just about covering the costs of the jr pass. So it's mostly up to you.

I would get the pass just so I can snicker at those people who have to queue to buy a ticket and queue to enter the gantries while I just flash the jr pass and walk through the manned gates.

Just joking, but in all seriousness the jr pass is really convenient. You can make all your ticket reservations when you get your pass!

JR pass can only be used for Japan Railways Company. It can not be used for Subway like Tokyo Metro and more.
For other private companies, use a Sucia or Pasmo IC Card.
