From Kawaguchiko station to Oimachi station

Good day everyone !

I need to go back from Kawaguchiko station to my hotel nearby Oimachi station in the evening.
Could you please advise what is the best route to take.

1) Should i take Chuo highway bus from Kawaguchiko station to Shinjuku highway bus terminal. From there, walk to JR Shinjuku & take JR line to Oimachi station.
OR
2) Should i take the Fujikyu Railway from Kawaguchiko station to Otsuki station. Then transfer to JR Shinjuku-Osaki-Oimachi.
I checked Hypedia, this route seems to be more expensive & take longer time.

If you have other better option, please share.

I think it is the best way that you take the bus from Kawaguchiko to Shinjuku,and take JR train to Oimachi.
It is the cheapest and short time way.
