Big luggage storage

Hi ,
This is the first time I�fm taking Hokkaido limited express hokuto to Hakodate.
Would like to know whether is there a designated area for big luggage�fs in the train.

Assuming Sapporo to Hakodate - last time I did this, no. Either over-head shelf or keep at your seat. If you have big luggage, take less stuff and a smaller case. I travel with a tiny case (under 10kg) as do many of my guests (10-12 kg for a one month trip).

Hokuto seems to have luggage space at the end of each car and even luggage room. I am not sure this has some exceptions.

Must I tick this option :Purchase tickets such as the Super (Limited) Express Train ticket only

When I tick the price become cheaper..
