3 days car trip at Izu Peninsula

Wondering any recommendations in Izu Peninsula we can add for our 3 days car trip? Not really into beaches unless there are beautiful rock formations or crystal clear water. Also, we don’t want to be rushing around. I had seen this article but unsure which places are worth it or feasible to Shuzenji Onsen & Mishima.

Our itinerary:

March 26
11:20 ETA Mishima by Shinkansen
Pick up rental car
Izunokuni Panorama Park [If good weather for Fuji San’s visibility. Otherwise, visit on the 28th.
Stay at Shuzenji Onsen

March 27
Kawazu Seven Waterfalls

March 28
Return the car at Mishima around 1700

We will remain in Mishima for additional 2 nights and will just be taking public transport to Numazu, besides taking it easy in Mishima. Not interested in Mishima Skywalk as two in my group have acrophobia 😅

Mishima to numazu
Beside JR, you can go by Izuhakone bus,cost 550 yen,28 minutes from mishima to numazu

Yes I plan to take the bus, especially since we will be visiting the park before heading to Numazu 🙏

Shimada should be added.
I also remember a wasabi farm roughly halfway between Shuzenji and Shimada.
Plus you’ll be there in cherry blossom time so investigate if there are some cherry blossom sites. Kawazu will be fine by then but there should be normal cherry blossoms.

I’d love to visit a wasabi farm. The photos always look so lush. And I love clear running water.

But Shimada is quite far from Izu Peninsula… Close to 2 hours from Shuzenji Onsen…
