Hakodate from New Chitose Airport

Dear Sir/Madam,

I planning to travel to Hakodate from New Chitose Airport.
Please advise which train I should look for a 1 way trip to Hakodate from New Chitose Airporrt?
I think JR pass might not fit me as I had rent a car to pick-up at Hakodate.

You need 5630 yen ,278 km by JR Local train
From shin chitose airport to minami chitose
Then minami chitose station to hakodate st
For 8050 yen,you can take JR Ltd express Hokuto railway for JR hakodate station

It will be 8580 yen if you take the reserved seat of Hokuto express. For non-reserved seat the fare would be 8050 yen.
