Kobe - Motomachi Stereo Euipment

In the 1990s I remember our ship use to berth at the port of Kobe for loading and discharging cargo. Our crew will then go to a street called Motomachi and buy pre-owned stereo equipment. Does this street still exist? Do they still sell stereo equipment? Can I get some help as to where I can find secondhand amplifiers in Kobe or in Akihabara
