Transferring trains Sakuragicho-Odoriko

Hi,

I will be reserving my seat tickets and reservation from Yokohama to Ito station for the Odoriko. However, I will be travelling from Sakuragicho. The online reservation site does not allow me to buy a basic ticket from Sakuragicho to Ito, only from Yokohama to Ito.

So do I pay with the IC card for the journey Sakuragicho to Yokohama?

Then when I arrive at Yokohama station Platform 4, inorder to transfer to Platform 6 for the Odoriko, must I exit the ticket gate from Platform 4 and re-enter the ticket gate for Platform 6?

At Yokohama station, do I put both the basic and the seat reservation tickets from Yokohama to Ito into the ticket gate or just the basic ticket?

You can do so through the JR-West reservation website,
by specifying your departure and arrival stations.

This JR-West reservation system covers
also Odoriko trains for the JR-East section.

Please make sure to exclude spaces before and after station names.
This system may regard "Sakuragicho " (with one space) as misspelling.

At Yokohama Station,
there is no separate zone specially for Limited Expresses.

You just go down to the underground concourse
and go up to the neighboring platform for Tracks 5 and 6.
