Hotel Recommendations - Kyoto 2024/2/23 02:09
Hi everyone,

Looking for some hotel recommendations for Kyoto for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids aged 6 and 0). We'll be doing some day trips to Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima and Himeji.

Budget would be around 16,000 yen per night. Can go more if required.

Thanks.

16k for four? That's really low. Even 16k per room (two rooms at 32k) would get you something a bit better. Have you looked at what accommodation in the city actually costs?
Hotel aggregation websites allow you to put in a budget - you might get somewhere offering a steep discount.

We have rented several times house or apartement in Kyoto from Japan Experience. Their properties are from small (cheap) to big (expensive), and situate in nice areas like Gion. A bit different than usual hotel accommodation, quite pleasant really. Specially with family, you have kitchen and several rooms for sleeping.

Yes, there's definitely hotels around our budget.

Have you any recommendations on budget hotels or even the best areas to stay in Kyoto?

Thanks.

Hi Dan, Sequence Kyoto Gojo was excellent. Great bath, sauna, rain showers with fragrance, lovely shampoo and body wash. I think your 6 year old and wife would love that! It's a little more per night. How about one night in Osaka? A business hotel is cheaper to stay in there. Sequence beds were so comfortable! Also, a shower in the room. But def. the big bath and sauna are the best!
