Onsens in Chubu

I missed out on booking a Senjukaku Kanbayashi Onsen/Hotel (near Nagano) experience this October 2024.
Now looking for similar quality Hotels in Chubu. If anyone has done Onsens in places like Takayama, Kanazawa, Nagoya or Gujo-Hachiman please give me a few hotels with meals to consider. Thanks for any reply.

If you really like onsens, why not go to Nozawa? Lovely scenery, and the dozen tiny public baths are good fun. Last time I was there was some time ago, and there were ryokans but I don't remember them as being super-luxurious, just nice.

If you really like luxurious hotels, have a look around the Hida-Takayama area, where there's some good options.

They have no rooms after September. I think they have not started accepting reservation for October.
