Itinerary Check: 19d Kansai/Chugoku/Kyushu 2024/4/21 03:03
Hello everyone!

I am going to Japan in November and wanted to ask for your opinion and especially your advice/criticisms of the itinerary I had in mind!

I will be visiting southern Japan, the regions of Kansai, Chūgoku, and Kyūshū.
What do you think? Anything I need to skip or definitely do?
For now i am really more interested about your opinion about the correct distrubution of days than what to do, that I will decide when I have decided how to move! It's too much? It's better in other way?

I am going to Japan in November for the third time to see the foliage!
I won't be taking a car, I will only travel by public transportation.

Thank you in advance!!! :) :) :)

D1 - don't plan anything. Just get to Nagasaki, anything else is a bonus.

D2 - head to Fukuoka late.

D6 - head to Nagasaki early.

Sounds good to me. At what time of the day you move you can still decide on the spot if you have completed what you wanted to do in city A or if there are more things that attract you in city B

I think Day 1 is somewhat difficult.

If you take trains it will take 5.5 hrs and cost 22000 yen. Flight is faster (2.5 hrs including Nagasaki airport to the city of Nagasaki) and cheaper (less than 10000 yen). The problem with the flight is it is quite infrequent.

The only flight from Kansai (KIX) to Nagasaki is 15:10 by Peach.

There are four flights to Fukuoka.

Two to Kagoshima.

You may better to start from Fukuoka or Kagoshima (if your international flight suite the domestic flight) or Kansai area since trains are quite frequent so you donft need to book them.

Note that at present flight schedule for November is not released yet (It will be late August).
