From Shinagawa to Kichijoji & Okachimachi

I have a day in Tokyo and planning to travel from Shinagawa to Kichijoji and Okachimachi and then back to Shinagawa. I would like to find out if there is any one day pass for tourist which i should get in Tokyo or i should just purchase a single trip ticket for my above route. Hope anyone out there can advise me which is the best way to travel economically.

Regular tickets will come cheapest (around 900 yen).
Unfortunately, Kichijoji is just outside the validity area of the Tokunai Pass, which would otherwise have been a good value.
