From tokyo to shirakawago

Hi,

I am planning to purchase Japan Rail Pass,
May i know are the following routes includes in Japan Rail Pass?
Feb 14 : tokyo to shirakawago
Feb 15 : shirakawago to kyoto

Very interested on shirakawago on its farmhouse and plan to have one night stay

Appreciate your direction how to get there using Japan Rail Pass. If not, what would best way to get there

tokyo to shirakawago

Only as far as Takayama, but not on the bus between Takayama and Shirakawago. And between Tokyo and Nagoya you may not use nozomi trains. It is all explained here:

shirakawago to kyoto

Not on the bus between Shirakawago and Kanazawa, but the rail pass covers the train between Kanazawa and Kyoto. Again, it is all explained in the Shirakawago section of this very website:
